About Me & The Team Behind Our Success

MEET THE CREW

Captain Butch Kross has been fishing since he was a toddler and heads up the experienced team at captain Butch Costa Rica. After fishing fresh and salt water and during high school he started mating out of Manasquan Inlet NJ. learning and fine tuning his passion. At 19 he started a charter boat business with the original Pops Toy lasting over 40 years.

Stacy Magna

Stacy Magna grew up on the water fishing with her dad captain Butch at a very early age. She’s retired from managing the office of a large company before returning a few days a week to work in the office with Captain Butch she shares her time between the office and babysitting her new grandson. . Stacy has made several trips to Costa Rica and has all the knowledge needed to help plan a Costa Rica vacation,  We are very fortunate have such a dedicated person on our team.

Kevin Jeffery

Although Kevin’s angling base is the Northeast he’s well known for plying waters from Alaska to the shores of South America. He brings angling enthusiasm and wealth of media/marketing skill to our team. When asked for a quote he quickly said “ I’ve found paradise in Coast Rica – Pura Vida “ !
